Cookie Policy — Fairgrade LLC

This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage that Fairgrade sets on app.fairgrade.com and www.fairgrade.com, what each is for, and how long it lasts. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels, and we do not show a cookie banner: this page is the full disclosure, and the choices you have are below.

Nothing in browser storage identifies you to anyone but your own browser. The peer-review draft is the one item that holds text you wrote; it never leaves your device until you submit.
Session replay
During our beta, our analytics tool also records how pages are laid out and where users click, for staff and students, so we can find usability problems. All text and every input is masked in the recording, and coursework, images, documents and the chat are blocked from it. This uses the analytics cookie above; there is no separate cookie. We will update this page when it is turned off.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser. Every browser lets you do this per site. Blocking the session cookie signs you out; blocking the analytics cookie has no effect on the Service.
- Global Privacy Control. We honour the browser signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing. We do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the signal is respected.
- Ask us. Write to privacy@fairgrade.com to object to analytics under the Privacy Notice; we will exclude your identifier by hand in our analytics tool and confirm when it is done.
